Mika Penniman is a 26 year old London based singer/songwriter. He was born in Beirut, moved to Paris when he was 1 and eventually settled in London at the age of 8. Mika's childhood wasn't easy, he was bullied because he was different and dropped out of school when he was 11 to finally discover his passion; music. Facing rejection after rejection, Mika finally had his breakthrough in 2007 with his debut album Life in Cartoon Motion including the hits 'Grace Kelly' and 'Relax (Take it easy)'. Recently he returned with his sophomore album The Boy Who Knew Too Much including the anthem 'We Are Golden'. Love him or hate him, Mika has settled into your brain no matter what.
Calling all Mika’s Magic Numbers players – the end is almost here.
For the past few months you’ve been racing to accumulate points by entering competitions, buying tickets, merch and records and contributing to the Mika fanclub.
Alas, all good things must end, and the game is coming to a close on October 31st, 2010.
At that time, the very top players will be invited to an exclusive, intimate Mika gig. Yet more leading number nabbers will be invited to an exclusive Champagne reception with Mika himself.
In the meantime, we will no longer be awarding points for posting comments, photos or videos to mikasounds. You’ve all done us proud and helped build a thriving community. Now we think it’s time to let it grow at its own pace.
Instead there’ll be two new ways you can win points as Mika’s Magic Numbers draws to a close.
First up, we want YOU to design a Mika t-shirt. You can be as creative as you like, let your imagination run wild. All entries will be posted on the site and get you a 1000 Mika points.
The winner – as chosen by Mika – will see their design put into production for sale in the Mika Store and also earn 25,000 Mika Points. Just email your designs to tshirts@mikasounds.com for your chance to win.
Secondly, we want to know what you think of Mika’s music – post a video review of your favourite albums and singles to date and it’ll earn you 1500 points.
Mika has added yet more dates to his massive 2010 European tour, so now you’ll have even more chances to catch one of his live performances this summer.

It is with great regret that Mika has had to postpone his Lisbon performance at Campo Pequeno – as everyone knows due to the Icelandic volcano eruption nearly all European flights have been cancelled and no matter what we tried it was impossible to get to Lisbon in time for the show.
The releases of Mika’s stunning ‘Kick Ass’ title track are just weeks away so to get you in the mood we bring you the Kick Ass widget!
The widget’s packed with exclusive content including a gallery of scenes from the movie, samples of the soundtrack streaming for free and a competition to win lots of Kick Ass goodies.

Following the devastating earthquake in Haiti, Mika is showing his support by donating various pieces of memorabilia for auction. Having successfully auctioned the milk carton from the ‘Rain’ video last week, now up for auction are the t-shirt he wore in the Haiti video, plus a CD single of ‘Everybody Hurts’, both signed and doodled on by Mika himself!
Mika says: ‘I was hugely honoured to be asked by The Sun to be part of this single. I am really pleased with how it turned out, it sounds fantastic, and I hope the public will support it to raise money for this worthy cause.’ Click here to download the single now.
Click here to make your bid now – don’t hang about as the auction closes 5:11pm (GMT) ON February 25.
All proceeds will then be donated to British Red Cross Disaster Fund to help with their work in Haiti…Happy bidding!
