Congratulations to Federica! She’s the winner of our Origin of Love Album cover competition!
We’ve received many great entries and we will upload them to the gallery in the coming days. In case you didn’t win this time, don’t fret! We plan to have many more competitions in the future!
It seems to me that you are very interested in winning an authentic (I can assure you it is, yours truly was there the moment it was signed) setlist signed by Mika, Cherisse Ofusu Osei and Martin Waugh. Isn’t that amazing?
And I know you are wondering, how do I get that signed setlist? Well it is very easy. You are going to design a cover for Mika’s upcoming third album, which at the moment is still called The Origin Of Love. You can draw it, use photoshop, glue it together or if you are not that creative even describe it. Don’t worry if you’re not very creative, everyone will have equal chances.
So, now your cover is done, what do you do with it?
- You send your cover to mikafansnet@gmail.com before the 10th of February. That gives you enough time to work on it.
- You do not worry if you send in your entry and we do not reply to your mail. No worries, we got it!
- Please send in your entry as either a JPG file or a word document.
- Enjoy!
Hello Mika fans! Sorry for the long time, no updates but there is not much nice about Mika at the moment. We do wish to inform you that we’ve changed our email address. Instead of emailing admin@mikafans.net, send an email to mikafansnet@gmail.com if you wish to contact us. We will not reply to any emails send to the old email.
4 years ago, I started Mikafans.net (then still mika.love-today.org) for a then relatively unknown Mika, because I immediately fell in love with his music and felt he deserved the praise. At that time, only 3 official pictures were available! The site was really bad back then but throughout the years it grew, just like Mika did! Luke joined the team and together we are trying to be one of the best sources for everything Mika!
Thank you very much for visiting the site regularly! It is very much appreciated and YOU keep us going! To another 4 years!
I think the whole world was rocked at the news of the devastating Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami on 11th March in Japan. It’s hard to believe that following more than 800 aftershocks and tsunamis, another quake hit a month later to the day. I can’t even imagine what everybody there is going through. I have been trying to decide how best to show my support since the first events – there are no words that seem adequate. But I want all my friends in Japan to know that I am thinking about them and sending them my love
I have a lot of friends in Japan and thankfully all of them are safe, to my knowledge. It’s a very special place to me and it doesn’t seem real that something so awful could have happened to such a beautiful nation of people. I have so many happy memories of the time I have spent there. >From my first showcase 5 years ago, I became so smitten with Japan that I set it my goal to build a fan base and be able to tour the country. We did our first proper tour last year, and we will be back even more on the next album. From performances with audience members, to amazing (and eccentric!) fans and duets with Hikaru Utada, there were so many reasons why my small tour in Japan was the highlight of last year.
As you might have noticed, I’ve deleted the media section. It was pretty dead, so I figured there was no use for it any more. Also, I’ve been working on some of the other pages. The Quotes page for example is updated with new quotes.
Also, we’re working on some exciting new project. It’s still in baby shoes, but as soon as it’s done, you will be the first to know
Finally, we have a brand new Gallery layout! For a long time we’ve had a boring default one, but now thanks to the lovely Shawn we have a brand new layout. Click on the picture to check out the biggest and still growing Mika photo gallery on the web!
I’ve recently started a blog with stories. Fairy tales based on Mika’s lyrics. I would really love it if you’d pay a visit and tell me what you think. I’m going to try to upload a story once a day, if possible.
